§ 1 Respectful Behavior
Treat all members of the BeAFox community with respect and kindness. A positive culture of mutual trust is the foundation of our learning community.
- Be respectful and courteous in all interactions – online and offline
- Avoid insulting, discriminatory, racist, sexist, or demeaning language or behavior
- Respect different opinions, religions, identities, and experiences
- Help others learn instead of criticizing or shaming them
- Celebrate others' successes and encourage them constructively in their learning journey
§ 2 Constructive Communication
Share your knowledge constructively and help others learn. Open, factual discussions promote understanding for everyone.
- Ask questions when you don't understand something, and make an effort to understand answers
- Share your experiences and tips factually and evidence-based with the community
- Provide constructive feedback that concretely helps others improve
- Avoid spam, advertising, unsolicited promotions, or unwanted commercialized content
- Keep discussions factual, on-topic, and free of personal attacks
§ 3 Prohibited Content (DSA Art. 14, NetzDG)
The following content is absolutely not permitted in the BeAFox community. These restrictions comply with the EU Digital Services Act and the German Network Enforcement Act.

§ 4 Security and Privacy
Protect your personal data and that of other users. Trust and data security are essential for our community. BeAFox is GDPR-compliant and protects all user data strictly.
- Do not share personal financial data such as account numbers, PINs, TAN numbers, credit card data, or other sensitive information in public areas
- Never share passwords, access credentials, or authentication codes – BeAFox staff will never ask you for these
- Respect other users' privacy: Do not share their personal data, images, or private information without explicit consent
- Report suspicious activities, phishing attempts, unusual account access, or security vulnerabilities immediately to support@beafox.app
- Use a strong, unique password for your BeAFox account and enable two-factor authentication if available
- Understand that BeAFox processes your data in accordance with GDPR and our privacy policy – find privacy information at beafox.app/privacy
§ 5 Youth Protection and Protection of Minors (JuSchG, JMStV)
BeAFox especially protects users under 18 years of age. We strictly follow the German Youth Protection Act (JuSchG) and Interstate Treaty on the Protection of Minors in the Media (JMStV).
- Minor users (under 18): Their safety is the highest priority. Content is always curated to be age-appropriate and educational
- No contact by adults for private purposes: Adults must not build relationships with minors outside of open learning contexts. Any suspicious or inappropriate contact will be reported and may result in criminal consequences
- Protection mechanisms for minors: BeAFox uses content filtering, age verification, and moderation to protect minors from harmful content
- Use of appropriate language and content: All public content must be appropriate for users aged 16 and above. Alcohol, drugs, smoking, and explicitly sexual content are not permitted
- Reporting: Any suspicious activity regarding child welfare risks will be reported to police and/or competent authorities (in accordance with § 8a SGB VIII and § 14 Para. 2 JMStV)
§ 6 No Financial Advice
BeAFox is a platform for financial education, not financial advice or investment advice. Bea is an AI-powered learning companion, not a licensed financial advisor.
- BeAFox conveys financial knowledge and capability but not personal or legally binding financial advice
- Do not give specific investment recommendations, tips, or financial forecasts – that is financial advice, which requires a license
- Refer to professional, licensed financial advisors or authorities (such as BaFin) for complex or personal financial questions
- Share general financial knowledge and concepts, but not your personal financial decisions or strategies that could be misunderstood as advice
- Remind others that individual professional advice is important and recommended for major financial decisions (loans, investments, insurance)
§ 7 Artificial Intelligence and Bea – Transparency and Limitations
Bea is our AI-powered learning companion. It is important that you understand how Bea works, what Bea can do, and what Bea cannot do.
- Bea is an AI: Bea is powered by artificial intelligence and can make mistakes. Bea is not human and has no personal feelings or intentions
- Transparency about AI-generated content: Content generated by Bea or other AI systems will be labeled as such. BeAFox does not secretly mix AI content with human content
- Bea's limitations: Bea does not provide professional financial advice, cannot support during crisis situations, and does not replace human experts. For serious problems, contact a trusted person, therapist, or authorities
- Data privacy with AI: Your conversations with Bea are used to train and improve Bea (anonymously and pseudonymously in accordance with GDPR). Detailed information can be found at beafox.app/privacy
- Complaints about Bea behavior: If Bea content seems inappropriate or misrepresents you, you can report this. BeAFox will review the case
§ 8 Reporting Illegal Content (DSA Art. 16 – Notice and Action)
The EU Digital Services Act requires us to have a structured process for reporting illegal content. You can report content that violates laws or these guidelines.
- Reporting channel: Use the report form in the app under Settings > Report Content or write directly to compliance@beafox.app. Provide the content URL or screenshot plus description
- Required information for a report: Concrete description of the content, why it is illegal or violates guidelines, link or screenshot, your contact details (optional but helpful for follow-up). Factual and detailed formulation helps us act quickly
- Processing of illegal content: Content that violates applicable German or EU law (e.g., CSAM, terrorism, incitement to violence) will be reviewed within 72 hours and removed if confirmed illegal. Guideline violations will be processed within 7 days
- Report status tracking: You receive confirmation of your report and can track its status (in the app under Reports or by email)
- Appeal against incorrect report: If a report is handled incorrectly, the user can appeal (see Point 10: Complaint Management)
§ 9 Content Moderation and Decision Transparency (DSA Art. 14, 17)
BeAFox moderates content to enforce these guidelines. We are transparent about how, why, and by whom decisions are made.
- Moderation methods: BeAFox uses a combination of automated detection (artificial intelligence) and human review. Flagged content is reviewed by trained moderators before action is taken
- Duty to provide reasons (DSA Art. 17): If your account is suspended, a post is deleted, or other action is taken, you receive notification with: (1) the exact guideline section or reason, (2) the specific justification for why the action was taken, (3) information about your right to complain. This information will be provided within reasonable time
- Transparency report: BeAFox publishes regular reports on content moderation: number of reports received, content processed, reasons for deletions, and complaints
- Human review for complaints: If you appeal a moderation decision, your case is reviewed again by a different trained moderator (not the same person, not just automated systems)
- Emergency exceptions: In case of imminent danger (e.g., suicide announcement, bomb threat), BeAFox can remove content without warning and contact authorities
§ 10 Complaint Management and Remedies (DSA Art. 20)
You have the right to lodge complaints against moderation decisions, suspensions, or deletions. BeAFox offers an internal review process and external options.
- Internal complaint: If you wish to contest a moderation decision, you can submit a complaint to appeals@beafox.app within 14 days of notification. Specify: (1) which decision you are contesting, (2) your reasons why the decision is wrong, (3) if applicable, new information. Format factually and specifically
- Internal review period: BeAFox reviews your complaint within 14 days and informs you of the result: decision upheld, partially reversed, or fully overturned. The reasoning will be provided
- Out-of-court dispute resolution: If you disagree with the internal decision, you can initiate proceedings with an independent ombudsman or arbitration. BeAFox is a member of the Digital Services Act complaint procedure (details at beafox.app/complaints)
- Judicial review: You have the right to contest any moderation decision before a German or EU court (administrative law or private law depending on the situation)
- No retaliation: BeAFox will not suspend your account, delete your content, or otherwise harm you for filing a complaint. That is retaliation and is prohibited
