§ 1 Commitment to Accessibility
Our Commitment
BeAFox UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is committed to making its website (beafox.app) and the BeAFox app accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and EU Directive 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act, EAA). We work continuously to improve the user experience for everyone – regardless of their abilities or the technologies they use.

This statement applies to the website https://beafox.app as well as the BeAFox app for iOS and Android.
§ 2 Conformance Status
Conformance Status
This website and app are partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the requirements of the harmonized European standard EN 301 549. We are actively working to achieve full conformance.

§ 3 Accessibility Features
Implemented Measures
We have already implemented the following accessibility measures:
- Semantic HTML5 with correct heading hierarchy (h1–h6)
- ARIA labels and roles for interactive elements and navigation
- Keyboard navigation for all essential website functions
- Responsive design for various screen sizes and devices
- Text-based alternative descriptions (alt attributes) for informative images
- Sufficient color contrast in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA (contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text)
- No exclusively color-based information conveyance
- Self-hosting of fonts (Google Fonts via next/font) – no external dependencies
- Focus indicators for interactive elements
- Structured form fields with labels and error messages
§ 4 Known Limitations
Currently Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, we are aware of the following limitations, which we are actively working to resolve:
- Some Lottie animations (JSON-based) may not yet have complete text descriptions
- Certain interactive calculator components (financial calculators) may not be fully keyboard operable
- Some PDF documents may not yet be fully accessible
- Third-party content (e.g., embedded videos, Stripe checkout) is subject to the accessibility standards of the respective providers
- The mobile app is being progressively optimized for VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android)
Remediation Timeline
We have established a timeline for remedying the known limitations. Our goal is to achieve full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance by the end of 2026. Priority is given to the core learning platform features.

Legal Basis
The enforcement procedure is governed by the provisions of the BFSG and EU Directive 2019/882. The market surveillance authority may take measures in case of violations of accessibility requirements.
§ 8 Testing and Updates
Testing Methodology
The assessment of accessibility is based on a self-assessment conducted by BeAFox UG. We use automated tools (Lighthouse, axe DevTools) as well as manual testing with assistive technologies.
Next Planned Review
The next comprehensive accessibility review is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. In the meantime, continuous improvements are being made.
